On behalf of legal aid service providers and YOPE, an organization committed to advancing digital justice in Uganda, I am deeply honoured to welcome you all to this historic launch of the High Court at Entebbe Law Court.
This milestone represents a critical step toward expanding access to justice for all Ugandans, particularly those in underserved communities. Legal aid providers play a pivotal role in ensuring that justice is not a privilege but a right for everyone, regardless of social or economic status. Meanwhile, YOPE’s mission—leveraging technology to bridge gaps in justice delivery—aligns perfectly with this vision. Digital tools can streamline court processes, enhance transparency, and bring justice closer to the people.
Your Lordship, your leadership in promoting judicial innovation and access to justice inspires us all. Today’s launch is not just about a new court; it’s about hope, efficiency, and fairness for the people of Entebbe and beyond.
